How does Prestige Accounting Solutions provide services to clients without face-to-face contact?

  • Prestige Accounting Solutions provides services nationally via an efficient ‘remote’ process using a range of technologies.

    Clients do not need to see their accountant face-to-face.  With email, website systems, fax and telephone an efficient accountancy service is provided remotely.  This saves the client time and money.

  • How will my refund be paid?

    If you are entitled to a refund, you can nominate to receive a refund cheque or have the amount directly credited to your bank account.

  • How can I minimise my accounting fees?

    There are a number of ways to minimise the accounting fees you pay, including:

    • speaking with your accountant prior to entering any new financial commitments involving a contract.  This will ensure the proposed structure of the arrangement is considered from an accounting perspective,
    • keeping good financial records, including cheque butts, invoices, receipts, contracts, etc.  It is also cost effective to keep all records in chronological order (saving your accountant's time saves you money). 
    • using a bookkeeper on a regular basis to update a computerised accounting package, such as MYOB or QuickBooks, and
    • supplying your accountant with all of the requested information upfront, to remove the need to be contacted repeatedly.

  • What computerised accounting packages does Prestige Accounting Solutions work with?

    Prestige Accounting Solutions can work with most packages and will not refuse clients based on their chosen software package.

  • Can I get advice prior to getting my tax prepared?

    Yes, you can receive professional advice prior to ‘Tax Time’.  The services of Prestige Accounting Solutions are available all year round. 

  • What information does Prestige Accounting Solutions require to prepare my tax return?

    The answer to this question depends on your situation.  However as a guide, Prestige Accounting Solutions may require some, or all, of the following information:

    • your basic personal details, such as address, contact details, etc.
    • PAYG Payment Summary Form
    • last year's tax return
    • Centrelink payment form (Pensions, Newstart, Austudy, Sickness Benefits)
    • eligible termination forms

  • How long does it take for Prestige Accounting Solutions to complete a tax return?

    Most individual rental property tax returns are completed and lodged within 72 hours of receiving all of the required information from you.

    Refunds are usually issued within 14 working days after lodgement (subject to Australian Taxation Office processing time).

    All other returns will depend on the amount of work needed to complete the return.  As such, Prestige Accounting Solutions will provide an estimated timeframe on request.
